Sarah is 48 years old and has lived in Wyke all her life, she is from a Catering and Hospitality background and has been married to Philip for 25 years. Sarah is actively involved with many local community groups, she has a strong interest in the Environment, Health, sits on the Board of Governors at Appleton Academy and is a trustee at Nell Bank Outdoor Educational Centre. Her interests are Walking, Reading, Gardening, Local History and Vintage Tractors.

Ralph Berry is 49 and has represented Wibsey Ward since 1992. Married with 3 children, he is currently the Portfolio Holder for Children's Services. Ralph lived in and worked in Wibsey for many years, and has been a Governor of Wibsey and Grange Schools. Ralph is a former Chair of Bradford Health Authority and works in the Family Courts.

John is 62 and has been married to Pauline for 42 years; they live in Bierley and have two children and two grandchildren. John has represented Tong for over 17 years. Now retired, John served ten years in the armed forces before working as a Bradford fire-fighter for over 27 years. John is Chair of Bradford licensing panel, vice chair of the housing and non-domestic rates appeal panel and a governor on two local primary schools.

Gill has lived in Bradford all her life. She is married with 5 children and 2 stepchildren. She has been Councillor for Royds Ward since 2007, Governor for 2 schools and actively supports groups in Woodside, Buttershaw, Wibsey, Low Moor and Horton Bank Top. Gill has been on the Bradford South Area Committee for 4 years and is a member of the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority. She is Chief Executive of a charity.

Labour's Candidates: John Godward - Great Horton

John Godward has represented Great Horton since 1980. He has held many senior Council positions and was Lord Mayor in 2009/2010. He is currently Chair of the Housing and Non-Domestic Rates Appeals and The Social Services Appeals Committees. He serves on Bradford South Area Committee, the Social Care Scrutiny Committee and the Corporate Parenting Panel. He is interested in all the voluntary work which goes on in Great Horton including in Lidget Green and Scholemoor.
